450 m3 Self Propelled Split Hopper Barge
This Barge was built in 1984 and was rebuilt in 2002, the builder was Turno Severin in Romania. Its Classification Society is Bureau Veritas.
The following maintenance and repairs were done:
- In May the vessel passed through dry-docking (unscheduled – before dredging season) as well as extensive repairs.
- Hopper seal was renewed
- All “Z” drives were completely overhauled (two installed plus one spare )
- Two diesel generators were completely overhauled (as new)
- Electrical generators were overhauled
- Barge opening Hydraulic system was completely overhauled ( 4 main jacks plus one spare – as new)
- Windlass completely overhauled including electrical motor
- storage rooms, all machinery spaces are completely cleaned and painted, rearranged, shelving system was built – everything looks like new.
- All electrical installations were checked and are in perfect condition. New 24 Volt automatic system was installed. Radio and Navigational equipment were serviced and in excellent condition
- All deck accommodations were completely overhauled (scaled and painted 100%)
- Absolutely all equipment on the barge in excellent working condition ready for work immediately.
The Vessels next dry docking is scheduled for Jan., 2010.
