COOPER-BESSEMER DIESEL ENGINE

This Cooper-Bessemer model JS-8-T diesel engine has only test hours since it was completely rebuilt. Over US$ 75,000 was spent on the rebuild, which includes a new Elliot turbocharger, but the engine was never returned to service.

It is currently dismounted and in covered storage. This low RPM engine will produce 1,800-horsepower (1342 kW) at 500 RPM continuous. No longer in production, but parts are readily available on the after market.
