Dipper Dredger (Excavator Dredger)
Liebherr P992 Mounted on Spud Barge
Offered for Lease, Charter, or sale, this Dipper Dredger features precision DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System), which together with the IHC XPM software enables the dredger to operate with a precision of up to 10 mm. The 1992 model P992 Liebherr excavator can dredge to a depth of 18-meters (59-feet) using a choice of 1-cubic-meter (1.31-cubic-yard), 3-cubic meter (3.92-cubic-yard) or 4.7-cubic-meter (6.15-cubic-yard) buckets.
The pontoon was built in the Netherlands in 1980, and has three spuds which can be laid down for transportation. The spuds can be raised, lowered, or stowed by a single operator from the control cabin. Dredging operations can continue in wave conditions of up to 2.5 m (8-feet). There are accommodations for 6-persons. Accomodations and Operator's Cabin are conditioned. The dredger has passed Special Survey in April, 2007.
